The Burning Warcraft World

Ice cold with the original game on my shelf, it took me nearly an entire year to finally decide to join the burning warcraft world of my friends by buying the Burning Crusade expansion for World of Warcraft. And am I ever glad that I did! There’s more packed into the Burning Crusade for WoW than you might think and it’s worth getting. However, since most of the new content is in the “end game”, or highest levels, you will want to level up your character as fast as possible to take advantage of the new content and catch up with your friends.
The addition of the Draenei and Blood Elf races, to Alliance and Horde, respectively, adds a few new twist to the game. Not only do they have new voices, models, dances, and racial abilities, but something that was quite unpredictable happened as well: Shaman and Paladin are now playable by both factions! You can now roll a Blood Elf Paladin to be an unholy, light-bending, mana-hungry, knight of the horde, or roll a Draenei Shaman who now have learned to command the powers of nature when one of their Paladins was bereaved of his command of light. The Wind answered his lost and searching sole and now, at long last, nature itself aids the alliance.

I was quite surprised to find that I actually enjoyed playing the Draenei more than the Blood Elves this new burning warcraft world. Draenei are quite different from the other races and have terrific character animations… particularly in the case of the cross-bow, which they handle like a sawed-off shotgun!
Both races are rich with lore and have fantastic quest chains that will take from 1-20 at a terrifyingly fast rate. Especially since the 2.3 patch that increased XP gains considerably.
Then there’s the whole new addition of the Outlands and new crafting profession which I fear I will need to write about in a separate post! Needless to say, there’s a lot of content to take advantage of here. And even more now that Wrath of the Liche King is right around the corner. You’re going to want to make sure you have at least one character at level 55 or above when the new expansion comes out if you are wanting to gain access to the new Death Knight class and experience the new icy regions of Arthas.
So don’t put it off any longer, if you haven’t joined the burning warcraft world yet, shed your furry coat and leap into the fire!
